Viking Run

Viking Run is a side-scrolling viking raid for Playdate.

Row your longship to the shore with the crank, leap into the surf with your crew, fight your way to the enemy’s chest and carry it back to the ship.

• 10 raids, each in its own place, time of day and weather: a fjord at dusk, a burning village, a snow pass, a marsh in fog, sea cliffs in rain, an autumn forest, a frozen lake under the northern lights, the jarl’s stronghold in a thunderstorm and more
• Duels, not crowds: foes feint, block, retreat and read your habits
• Watchtowers with archers and men pouring boiling water — break them with three blows
• Wounds, broken helmets and bodies that fall apart
• Turn the crank a full circle to unleash a whirl strike that breaks through shields

Controls: ◀ ▶ walk · A sword · B shield · crank to row and to wind up the whirl strike (▲ ▼ work too)

How to install: download the .zip, then sideload it at play.date → Account → Sideload, or drag it into the Playdate Simulator.
